2022 Cybersecurity Awareness Month

2022 is Health-ISAC’s 6th Year as a Cybersecurity Awareness Champion.

Each October, public and private organizations around the world dedicate the month to cybersecurity awareness messaging. This year, Health-ISAC is sharing resources from the United States, Europe, and Australia. The U.S. National Cybersecurity Alliance 2022 theme is “It’s Easy to Stay Safe Online,” reminding internet users there are plenty of simple ways to keep personal information and private data secure when browsing and using the internet.

The European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) has resources for this year’s  focus on Phishing and Ransomware.

The Australian Cyber Security Centre’s 2022 overarching theme is “Have You Been Hacked?” Other key messaging for the month  from ACSC are securing email and step-by-step instructions for overall online security.

In addition to opening some Member resources to the public, such as Daily Cyber Headlines, Health-ISAC has created informational videos to reinforce cyber hygiene related to keeping medical devices such as wearable devices protected and the data secured, enabling
multi-factor authentication, using strong passwords and a password manager, and recognizing and reporting phishing.
