ONC – NAP-AX-16-006 CFDA # 93.893

ONC Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology is the principal federal entity charged with coordination of nationwide efforts to implement and use the most advanced health information technology and the electronic exchange of health information.

H-ISAC under this grant, we will build the capacity of Information Sharing and Analysis Center (ISAC) to share Cyber Threat Information (CTI) bi-directionally between Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and Healthcare and Public Health (HPH) sectors about cyber threats. We have established an outreach program to help with cybersecurity information sharing efforts.

Furthermore, we will expand and leverage the existing capabilities of the participating HHS offices and thereby create a more robust cyber information sharing environment for the entire HPH sector, which will provide a streamlined information sharing process that would allow HHS to send cybersecurity threat information to a single entity and would give that entity the responsibility for disseminating the information for the benefit of the entire HPH sector on an equitable and timely basis.

H-ISAC being the recipient of this grant, we will receive threat information from a variety of resources ASPR, OCIO and OSS, as well as via the National Cyber Security and Communications Integration Center (NCCIC) at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and we will work directly with ASPR, OCIIO, OSSI, NCCIC, and their contractors and recipients to share threat information bi-directionally.
