Quick Look:

  • Irma is now a Post-Tropical Cyclone and will continue to weaken and move northwestward throughWednesday.
  • Moderate to locally heavy rain in the Mid-South and Southeast will move into the Ohio Valley and Middle Atlantic byWednesday. Some of the heavier rainfall may produce flash flooding.
  • All storm surge warnings and tropical storm warnings have been discontinued.
  • Weather in the Southeast will be conducive for recovery operations in hard hit areas.

SITREP

  • Reported power outages

o Florida: 5.11 million customers

o Georgia: 1.19 million customers

o North Carolina: 65,000 customers

o South Carolina: 220,000 customers

  • Most airports in Florida scheduled to open and resume flights today
  • Looting remains a concern for both residents and first responders
  • Everyone should be aware of scams such as Phishing and Vishing activity as well as opportunistic attacks
