Health–ISAC continues Global Growth with Global Representation
Salwa Rafee, PMP, MSc, PEng
(Titusville, FL) The Health Information Sharing & Analysis Center (H-ISAC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Salwa Rafee to the position of Vice President, Global Development, effective January 1, 2020. Most recently Ms. Rafee held the position of Global Security & Data privacy Leader, Public Sector at IBM. Ms. Rafee brings tremendous industry experience in Healthcare as well as Cyber Security domain knowledge expertise gained during a celebrated 15-year tenure with IBM, as well as the Global Director at Siemens Medical Solutions.
Cyber and physical security threats don’t stop at the border of any country. As H-ISAC extends the trust community globally, the need for a dedicated and experienced leadership is compelling. Ms. Rafee brings a highly decorated background in Healthcare and Security experience. She holds an MSc in Biomedical Engineering from Boston University College of Engineering and held a Graduate Research position at the University of Alberta in Medical Sciences & Bioinformatics. Ms. Rafee speaks 5 languages fluently and has attended Harvard Kennedy School, obtaining an executive certificate in Cybersecurity: Policy and Technology.
H-ISAC’s Global Membership includes over 3,000 security analysts. What attracts this growth is the sharing of high-fidelity threat intelligence and best practices, and access to intelligence tools and a trusted network of health industry peers.
This Global growth and key hire reflect the community of trust that has been developed around the world by the H-ISAC. With member organizations based in over 150 countries, Ms. Rafee will be busy representing H-ISAC membership growth, as well as educating new markets on healthcare security and the many benefits of membership in this trusted organization.
Ms. Rafee will be a strategic member of the H-ISAC Senior Leadership Team.
