This week, Health-ISAC^®‘s Hacking Healthcare^® This week, Hacking Healthcare assesses new developments in the European Union’s implementation of their Action Plan to improve the cybersecurity of hospitals and healthcare providers. In particular, we dig into a recent update from the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA), detailing progress on some of their action items. Finally, we wrap up this week by examining a new U.S. government report that helps to illustrate the growing burden of cyber incident reporting regimes.

This week, Health-ISAC^®‘s Hacking Healthcare^® begins by examining a newly released publication by ENISA, the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity, that seeks to provide their perspective on how frontier AI models are changing cybersecurity. This includes recommendations at the national to the organizational level. We then provide a brief legal and regulatory update on new expected due dates for the United States’ Cyber Incident Reporting for Critical Infrastructure Act (CIRCIA) Final Rule and revisions to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Security Rule.
